How to: Shopping for Products That Will Probably Sell Out

Originally written for The Weekly Review

Following the success of Kenzo (2016) and Balmain (2015) the latest H&M designer collaboration dropped last week from British brand Erdem.

The collection was both women’s and menswear and has been very hyped up since the announcement in July. As to be expected the collection sold out online and in store all over the world.

Here in Melbourne the collection brought hundreds of shoppers to the Bourke Street store, all desperate to get their hands on the romantic floral collection.

Like other majorly hyped up collections and products, it can be hard to get hold of exactly what you want, and you may have even missed out this time. However, New York based fashion blogger Esta from Living Fiesta has shared with us some of her top tips on how to guarantee you get just want before something sells out.

  1. Window Shopping

“Map out your favourite pieces early! This helps you focus on your priorities while shopping.”

2. Don’t sleep in

“Wake up early! You’ve got to make sure you’re among the first in line at the store, or that you can fill up your cart quickly online”

3. Bring a friend

“Four hands searching for the right size is better than two!”

4. Or, make friends

“Make friends in line! If you are friendly to others, they are likely to help you grab your size once you’re inside”
